kinda felt we weren't hip enough to be in there haha, but really nice place. interesting menu with a lot of dishes we've not seen before in Perth. tasty food, friendly service. we had the key lime pie after which was yummy too!

This place has a wonderful retro feel that makes you feel like you are stepping into a different time. The jazz music and vintage decorations create a very cool and soulful atmosphere for everyone. It is a very lively spot where the staff are always quick to help with a smile. You will really enjoy the high-energy vibe and the unique character of the room.

Diner vibes with small but delicious menu. Was recommended this cafe by a couple of people and it seemed a must go. Didn’t disappoint. Gumbo was a little odd to get for breakfast but it was tasty. The cornbread it came with was actually super good. Highlight for me was the key line pie. Delicious and huge serving. We saw a few of the rolls come out and they looked really good and solid servings. Would like to try those next time. Love the vibes of the place. Very relaxing and the staff were all friendly.

Service: the service here is top notch. It was so easy to get a booking for the weekend. We had an issue with our uber being cancelled and were able to delay our booking at short notice but somehow still made it on time and the girls were so lovely and understanding. The food: oh em gee. We had the Rueben, corn bread, key lime pie and Philly cheese steak. I had a ginger beer float to drink and I was not prepared. Each meal was packed with flavour. My friend and I shared and still took half home even though I hadn't eaten all day so being an empty tummy. Their portions are so good and each peice of food was so delicious. Cant wait to go back again Atmosphere: it really does scream soul food and American diner feeling. There was one flashing light which Is harmful as I have epilepsy but that is a me issue 😆 I really loved this place! Hello kitty and my melody were in a food baby situation after a short nap lol.

God this Reuben sandwich is so delicious I’m actually typing this review mid-way. 🤤 I’ve never enjoyed pickles in my life but this? This sandwich had me typing this sentence while chewing the pickle slice. Biting into this Reuben sandwich is pure heaven. Just LOOK at the amount of corned beef! So savoury not even salty at all! Pickles are so tangy and complement the soft cheese and sauerkraut GOSH! Forget biting it being served to you in all its perfection is something I would want to experience again and again! The atmosphere at Satchmo is immaculate I don’t think there’s any other place as homely yet so lively and bright! They put an insane amount of effort into their food as they do customer service and cleanliness. This place is CLEAN ✨ Stop reading this ✋ and head on down I promise you it’s life changing. Definitely coming back here no questions asked 😤

— Loved the Reuben sandwich so much, that I had it twice during a short stay in Perth. The staff and vibes at Satchmo Cafe are nice, will definitely return here on a future trip to WA. My favorite café in WA! Today, I had the roasted mushrooms, Rooster roll, Blintzes, and a flat white (not sure, it wasn’t mine). Every dish was absolutely delightful. I was surprised by the huge portions, and the way all the ingredients in each dish harmonized was incredibly impressive. The coffee was smooth with a fine froth (as you can tell from the latte art) and paired perfectly with the meal. The staff were friendly, and it was a wonderful way to start the day. I’m definitely coming back💖

A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering Satchmo was recommended to us by a friend, and we’re so glad we followed their suggestion. Tucked away in Perth, it was a place we hadn’t noticed before—but now that we've been, it's definitely earned a spot on our favourites list. The Reuben sandwich on rye was absolutely fantastic, and the breakfast bagels were equally impressive. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to the vibrant, bustling atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing!!!! Everything is perfect here down to the bread they use in their sandwiches. Love their meatball/eggplant parm sub. The bagel is also perfectly chewy. Have to try their Reuben sandwich next

Satchmo nails that sweet spot — amazing coffee, hearty food, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe that just feels right. The staff are legends, always friendly and quick to help. Everything comes out fresh and full of flavour. And the Drake's Coffee Cake...🤤
